Canada Day and July 4th are times for celebration and an excellent opportunity to pause, reflect, and recharge for the year’s second half. As we mark the midway point, taking some time for self-care and introspection can help us gain clarity, renew our energy, and refocus our goals. I want to explore the importance of reflecting on your achievements, restoring your well-being, and rejuvenating your spirits in the week following this special day. Then we can set ourselves up for success in the coming months by embracing these practices as we look ahead to the next half of the year.
I went camping with my husband and Jackie, my six-year-old dog, for the Canada Day weekend. Some friends were also joining us. We have this huge Coleman Hampton Cabin Tent that sleeps 9, and I love it! Very spacious. We also have an inflatable bed that is off the ground and so comfortable Coleman Camping Cot. We bring sheets, a duvet, and pillows! No sleeping bags for these campers! Here’s a picture of the inside. Being out of the house was nice, relaxing with friends and reflecting. I started this practice of writing my three wins at night and three things I want to accomplish the next day. What a game-changer. I got the idea from Dan Sullivan, and he talks about this in his books 10 x Is Easier Than 2x and The Gap and the Gain. I start looking forward to the last hour of my day to write down my wins and the three wins I would like to have tomorrow.

Amidst the busyness of everyday life, it’s essential to prioritize self-care and relaxation. Canada Day and the first week of July offer an ideal opportunity to unwind and recharge.
